Day 1

PRIVATE ARRIVAL TRANSFER FROM ZURICH AIRPORT TO LUCERNE HOTEL

You will be met on arrival at Zurich Airport. Your driver will wait for you right after the baggage claim area (outside customs) holding a sign with your name and you will be privately transferred to your Lucerne hotel (Driving time approx. 1 hour). Check in (if room is ready) and the rest of the day is free to relax. 

Lucerne, a compact city in Switzerland known for its preserved medieval architecture, sits amid snowcapped mountains on Lake Lucerne. Its colorful Altstadt (Old Town) is bordered on the north by 870m Museggmauer (Musegg Wall), a 14-century rampart. The covered Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge), built in 1333, links the Aldstadt to the Reuss River's right bank.

PRIVATE 3-HOUR GUIDED CULINARY AND ORIENTATION WALKING TOUR OF LUCERNE

You will meet with your expert local guide in the hotel lobby this morning. Depart on a private 3-hour guided culinary and orientation walking tour in Lucerne. During the walking tour your guide will arrange for small tastings of some local products. The tour will end by 12 noon, and you can enjoy an optional lunch and the rest of the day to explore.  Any entrance fee’s are payable direct on the day to allow for flexibility. 

Culinary walking tour Lucerne - the medieval jewel located at the shore of the incredibly clear Lake Lucerne, from which the tranquil river Reuss flows. The city’s most renowned landmark is the 14th century Chapel Bridge – Europe’s oldest covered wooden footbridge. Follow Lucerne’s quaint little streets, visit Corn Market Square and take in the fantastic frescoed buildings quaint quarters with little streets and countless historical fountains.

Day 3

PRIVATE TRANSFER TO LUCERNE RAIL, 1ST CLASS TICKETS TO INTERLAKEN VIA BERN WITH WALKING TOUR

This morning you will be privately transferred from your Lucerne hotel to the rail station to catch a morning train. We include first class tickets (where applicable) from Lucerne to Bern Train Station. 

You will be met on arrival at Berne Station by a local English-speaking guide directly at your arrival platform holding a sign with your names on it and enjoy a 3-hour walking tour of Berne. Your guide will walk you back to Berne rail station at the end of the tour to catch your train to your next destination.

Walking tour Bern – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and seat of the Swiss Federal authorities. Bern offers 6km / 3.7mi of 'Lauben' (weather-sheltered shopping promenades), the longest in Europe. Tour through Berne passing the Federal Palace, and wander through the old town seeing many interesting buildings and fountains such as the Bärenplatz which in 1513 became the “Bärengraben” (bear park), the colorful Pfeiferbrunnen, the oldest art museum in Switzerland (Kunstmuseum), the “Kindlifresserbrunnen” (Child Eater Fountain) and the Zytglogge – keeping a look out for the performance of the clockwork figures from 1530.

Make your way to the rail station for your train to Interlaken. We include 1st class reserved seats on the train from Bern to Interlaken. Upon arrival at Interlaken Rail Station, you will be met by an English-speaking assistant and transferred to your hotel. Check in and the rest of the evening is at leisure.

Interlaken is a traditional resort town in the mountainous Bernese Oberland region of central Switzerland. Built on a narrow stretch of valley, between the emerald-colored waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, it has old timber houses and parkland on either side of the Aare River. Its surrounding mountains, with dense forests, alpine meadows and glaciers, has numerous hiking and skiing trails.

Day 4

GUIDED PRIVATE EXCURSION TO JUNGFRAUJOCH

Meet with a local English speaking guide in the hotel lobby and depart on a full day (8 hours) excursion to Jungfraujoch. Your guide will assist on the train journey to Jungfraujoch where you will have time at your leisure for some sightseeing and lunch. After lunch you will depart Jungfraujoch and the return journey will include a trip on the Eiger Express cable car to Grindelwald before a final train journey back to Interlaken where your guide will walk back to your hotel and bid you farewell. 

PLEASE NOTE:  In view of the altitude on today’s tour, we recommend warm clothing (layers), robust footwear and sunglasses.

Mount Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe – the highest railway station in Europe with 3,454m / 11,330ft, located in the very heart of the Bernese Alps! Day 5

FULL DAY FROM INTERLAKEN TO GENEVA VIA GRUYÉRES AND LAVAUX VINEYARD

You will meet with a local English-speaking driver this morning and depart on a private full day tour in a luxury vehicle. You will travel to Gruyere where you will have time at leisure to explore the town. You will meet with your driver and continue to the Lavaux region.  On arrival you will enjoy an included private wine tasting including 5 wines, cheese, jerky & bread at Lavaux Vineyards. In the afternoon, you will arrive at your hotel in Geneva.

Gruyères – the picturesque village of Gruyères, perched atop a hill, gets its charm from the Middle Ages. The pedestrian zone welcomes to a gentle stroll, with its cobblestones and fountains. The town gave its name to the region La Gruyère and its delicious cheese. Cailler, Switzerland's oldest chocolate company is also located nearby. The Swiss vote Cailler as their favorite brand, so the opportunity to taste it should not be missed!

Lavaux vineyard - discover the terraced vineyards of Lavaux, one of the most famous wine-growing regions in Western Switzerland. The Lavaux Vineyard have been chosen by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Terraces stretch for about 30km / 18mi along the south-facing northern shores of Lake Geneva. They cover the lower slopes of the mountainside between the villages and the lake, and their origins can be traced back to the 11th century.

Geneva is a city in Switzerland that lies at the southern tip of expansive Lac Léman (Lake Geneva). Surrounded by the Alps and Jura mountains, the city has views of dramatic Mont Blanc. Headquarters of Europe’s United Nations and the Red Cross, it’s a global hub for diplomacy and banking. French influence is widespread, from the language to gastronomy.

PRIVATE WALKING TOUR OF GENEVA CITY CENTRE & VISIT TO PATEK PHILIPPE MUSEUM

You will meet with a local English-speaking guide in the hotel lobby this morning and depart on a private guided 2-hour walking tour of Geneva City Centre. You will enjoy an optional lunch (your guide can make recommendations on the day) before making your way to the Patek Philippe Museum for a private guided tour.  After the tour you can make your way back to your hotel for an evening at leisure.

Walking tour Geneva – lakeside sophistication in the world’s smallest metropolis. Stroll along the lakeside quay viewing the ever-present Jet d’Eau, spouting lake water 137m / 450ft in the air. Pass by the Brunswick Monument containing the tomb of Charles II, to reach the Pâquis Jetty - lighthouse and the public baths. Continue onwards and cross the Mont-Blanc Bridge towards the left bank, passing through Jardin Anglais (English Garden), to view the famous flower clock and the Monument National – commemorating Geneva joining Switzerland in 1815.

Patek Philippe Museum – a temple to watchmaking. View the earliest watch ever made in the 16th century, and how clocks have developed over time. From the first clocks to the most complicated timepiece ever made. With a diverse collection of timepieces from decorative, wall, metronomes and portable mechanical timepieces this discovery tour through the origins of timekeeping is fascinating. Day 7

TRANSFER FROM GENEVA TO ZERMATT VIA CHILLON CASTLE

Check out early this morning and meet with a local English-speaking driver. You will travel to Chillon Castle where we include a private guided tour.  After the tour, you will have a little time at leisure to check out the souvenir shop before meeting with your driver. Continue to Zermatt where your driver will drop you at the village entry point. From here, you will be transferred to your Zermatt hotel in a hotel electric taxi (car-free zone). Check in and the evening is free at your leisure.

Chillon Castle – the most-visited monument in Switzerland. The medieval gem sits on a rocky outcrop on the shores of Lake Geneva – built strategically atop the water for natural protection. Learn more about its significant location and the lives of those who both inhabited the palace and those incarcerated there. Walk through the courtyard and impressive halls with either a private guide or an audio guide, explaining the three eras that mark its history.

Zermatt, in southern Switzerland’s Valais canton, is a mountain resort renowned for skiing, climbing and hiking. The town, at an elevation of around 1,600m, lies below the iconic, pyramid-shaped Matterhorn peak. Its main street, Bahnhofstrasse is lined with boutique shops, hotels and restaurants, and also has a lively après-ski scene.

We include the services of a local English-speaking guide today for a tour to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby. Tickets to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise are included and the Crystal Ride from Trockener Steg to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise or vice versa is also included.

PRIVATE TRANSFER ZERMATT RAIL STATION, GLACIER EXPRESS TO ST MORITZ & TRANSFER TO HOTEL 

You will check out of your hotel this morning before a transfer to Zermatt rail station by hotel electro taxi to catch the Glacier Express train to St. Moritz (tickets included). On arrival at St. Moritz, you will be assisted to your hotel. The evening is at leisure. 

The Glacier Express route travels slowly through spectacular alpine scenery. The train takes eight hours from Zermatt to St. Moritz and boasts spectacular panoramic views, bridges and tunnels. It is often referred to as the world's slowest fast train and is a fantastic experience through the Swiss Alps.

St. Moritz is a luxury alpine resort town in Switzerland’s Engadin valley. It has hosted the Winter Olympics twice, has the Cresta Run, a world-championship bobsled run made of natural ice, and an outdoor Olympic ice rink. Its frozen lake hosts polo, cricket and even horse racing on ice. Ski and snowboard areas include Corviglia, Diavolezza and Corvatsch, and there are well-groomed cross-country ski trails.

On check out, please leave your luggage at hotel reception and your driver will collect your bags and travel to Tirano rail station where he will meet you before your transfer to Lake Como. Depart the hotel later this morning and make your way to St. Moritz train station to catch the Bernina Express to Tirano (tickets are included and journey time is 2.5 hours approximately). You will be met on arrival at Tirano rail station by your driver with your luggage and transferred direct to your hotel on Lake Como. Check in and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Bernina Express train - the most beautiful experience of the Alps: From the high towering glaciers of the mountains down to the swaying palms of Italy, the highest mountain railway in the Alps provides a link between northern and southern Europe. It does so in the most wonderful way imaginable, on a railway line that coexists in perfect harmony with its glorious mountain setting. The train makes short work of the 55 Tunnels, 196 bridges and slopes of up to 70 millimeters per meter of incline that are found along its route. FREE DAY AT GRAND HOTEL TREMEZZO

Enjoy a day to relax and explore the resort, perhaps make a splash and get in some lengths at first light. Laze away the day under a garden parasol. Or dive into the opalescent bliss that floats on the lake.  Life by the water is life with many options at the Grand Hotel.

The hotels pools offer totally unique moods, from beach-side glamour over the lake to the soothing calm of the indoor-outdoor infinity pool—via the lovely alfresco swims to be had in the garden.

PRIVATE BOAT TOUR OF LAKE COMO

We include 6 hours with an English-speaking skipper on a private boat for touring on the lake. Your concierge team will assist with meeting point with your skipper and your skipper will act as your guide on the lake. We also include a private guided tour at Villa Balbianello. You will enjoy an optional lunch and return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Villa del Balbianello is located on a wooded promontory, offering an enchanted view of Lake Como. This elegant, romantic 18th century mansion and its magnificent garden have hosted writers, scholars and travellers, including Count Guido Monzino, the last owner of the Villa.

PRIVATE TRANSFER COMO TO MILAN WITH MILAN CITY TOUR

You will meet with a local driver/guide at your hotel today and transfer direct to Milan City Centre. Your luggage will be stored in the vehicle while your guide takes you on a guided city tour including entry to the Duomo. Time for an optional lunch (your driver will provide suggestions) before an included scheduled guided tour at The Last Supper. Meet with your driver after the tour and he will transfer you to your hotel and bid you farewell. Check in and enjoy the evening at leisure.
