The Colosseum is a must-see for every traveller who visits Rome. A professionally guided tour is the perfect way to fully enjoy a walk inside the Colosseum and learn more about the building and what happened back in 80 AD, when the venue hosted one hundred days of inaugural games free for the citizens to enjoy. Your guide will provide you with priority skip-the-line access tickets and the tour includes a guided walk in the Roman Forum, the cultural and political center of Ancient Rome, as well as a stroll around the Palatine Hill, the area where the city of Rome was legendary founded by Romulus and where the emperors used to live for centuries. Florence. Florence's museums, palaces, and churches house some of the greatest artistic treasures in the world. The most popular and important sites in Florence include the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Uffizi, the Bargello, and the Accademia. The churches of Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce are veritable art galleries, and the library of San Lorenzo is a magnificent exhibition of Michelangelo's architectural genius. Wander some of the oldest streets in the city until you reach the Arno River, cross the Ponte Vecchio, and experience the "newest" area of Florence, the Oltrarno. Be sure to set aside time to see the vast and varied art collection housed in the Pitti Palace. When you grow weary of museums and monuments, head outdoors. Spend a day at the Boboli Gardens or climb the hill to the church of San Miniato al Monte to experience an enchanting view of Florence.

A Private Half Day Walking Tour of Florence with English Speaking Guide including the Accademia

This half day private walking tour of Florence with an expert English speaking guide is a perfect introduction to the masterpieces of this city: Michelangelo's David, Brunelleschi's Dome and Piazza Signoria. Meet with your private guide at your hotel and begin your tour of the historical centre of Florence. During the tour, you will see the Cathedral, the Baptistery and Piazza della Signoria, the political heart of Florence since the 1300’s, when Florence was the most powerful city in Europe. The visit will continue to Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge of Florence, then you will cross the Arno River and arrive at the Pitti Palace, one of the best examples of Renaissance palaces. The tour ends with an included visit to the Academy Gallery where Michelangelo’s David is housed, along with many other works of art.

Accademia Gallery

The Accademia Gallery occupies some rooms from the XIV century, which belonged to the old hospital of San Mateo as well as to the old monastery of San Nicolás de Cafaggio. Subsequently the Grand Duke Leopold of Lorraine founded the Academy of Fine Arts with a collection for the students. At the end of the 18th century these rooms were completely restructured to house the famous museum dedicated to Michelangelo. This is a must stop for anyone visiting Florence since it houses the "David" of Michelangelo sculpted between 1501-1504 to be an outside decoration of the Cathedral of Florence, it became instead a symbol of the Florentine State commitment to freedom and independence, as well as a symbol of the Medici's defeat in 1494. It still personifies energy, vigor and courage, symbolizing the whole mankind fight for survival. His anatomy, later reproduced by Michelangelo’s contemporaries, was carefully depicted, thanks to the in-depth studies carried out by the great artist.

Uffizi Gallery

The Uffizi Gallery entirely occupies the first and second floors of the large building constructed between 1560 and 1580 and designed by Giorgio Vasari. It is famous worldwide for its outstanding collections of ancient sculptures and paintings (from the Middle Ages to the Modern period). The collections of paintings from the 14th-century and Renaissance period include some absolute masterpieces: Giotto, Simone Martini, Piero della Francesca, Beato Angelico, Filippo Lippi, Botticelli, Mantegna, Correggio, Leonardo, Raffaello, Michelangelo and Caravaggio, in addition to many precious works by European painters (mainly German, Dutch and Flemish). Moreover, the Gallery boasts an invaluable collection of ancient statues and busts from the Medici family, which adorns the corridors and consists of ancient Roman copies of lost Greek sculptures.

2 nights at Hotel Bernini Palace in a Double Superior Room inclusive of breakfast

Situated in a 15th century building in the heart of the city, behind Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery. It is also just six minutes from Via Tornabuoni, the most famous shopping street, and approximately one hour away by car, it is possible to reach outlets for major Italian labels such as Prada and Gucci.
