Bergen's centre is very compact, with much to see and hear about within a very short walking distance. Stroll around Bryggen, a World Heritage Site, where you will hear of life in times gone by. Hear about life in this area from the founding of Bergen in 1070, through the Middle Ages and World War 2 to the present day.
Learn about dried cod fish, Hanseatic merchants, fires, Norwegian resistance fighters and present-day life at the wharf. Pass by the lively waterside Fish Market and explore the Bergen Fortress area, where you will find Håkons Hall from 1261 and the Rosenkrantz Tower from 1560s, or wander down the old cobblestone alleyways in the heart of Bergen and see typical, quaint Bergen houses and chimney houses while hearing about life in Bergen past and present.
Then take a short ride on the funicular railway up Mt Fløien. Enjoy great views, weather permitting, from the funicular and at the summit where you can also find a cafe and cashmere goats in summer.
Cornelius is one of the very best seafood restaurants in Norway. In an idyllic fjord- side location on Holmen island just outside Bergen, you will find one of the most exotic attractions in the whole of Western Norway’s archipelago – seafood of the very finest quality prepared using innovative culinary techniques and with delicious trimmings. The Menu is changed daily, depending on what the ocean has to offer. It is based on ingredients inspired by the wind and the weather. The menu is inspired by the raw beauty of the local fjords and offers a delicious variety of seafood from the West Coast which is tailored by chefs based on the weather and what is caught by the local fishermen each day. The dishes are prepared using innovative culinary techniques and with a genuine passion for seafood. On the 5 course Menu, you get to taste shellfish and fish in addition to a seasonal desert.

The Old Town has narrow alleys and streets with cobbled stones, where your guide will introduce you to interesting historical sites, and tell you the story of how the city of Stockholm was founded and how Stockholmers live today.
